The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA) will be hosting Art with Heart 2015, a benefit art auction, Saturday, February 7, from 7-10 p.m. 2015 is the sixth year for this fundraising event with all proceeds supporting HSNEGA’s animal rescue/adoption programs and services to end companion animal overpopulation and suffering.
Art with Heart will take place at the Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville, located on Club Drive off Thompson Bridge Road. The event will feature fine art, folk art, pottery, fine woodworking, sculpture and other types of artwork donated by renowned national and regional artists. All artwork will be available for silent auction during the event. Visit our Art with Heart Facebook page at www.facebook.com/AWHbenefit for a gallery showcasing some of the donated works from 2014.
Non-art auction items–including items such as a houseboat cruise on Lake Lanier, a birthday party at HSNEGA, and a spa package–also will be available to bid on during the event. The event will also feature many artwork items for immediate sale at the event including jewelry, prints and pottery. Many items will start at $5 or $10.
Art with Heart 2014 grossed more than $30,000, making the event the shelter’s most successful fundraiser. The 2014 event featured more than 150 pieces of artwork by artists such as Amanda Carder-Lovett, Pat Burd, Alice Paris, Janet Cornett, and Steve Meadows.
Tickets for the event are $55 per person or $100 per couple. Ticket price includes heavy hor d’oeuvres and a complimentary wine bar sponsored by Barefoot Wine & Spirits. A limited number of tickets are available for the event; tickets will be on sale beginning December 2014.
